TEDxUWO is an innovative organization that brought the best and brightest innovators in the country to London on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Grand Theatre. A full house of 200 was joined by an online audience of over 15,000 people. vent was sold out and reached an even larger online audience of over 15,000 people.

TEDxUWO was an opportunity to learn from the best. We embarked on a journey to bring TEDx to London because we knew it would be an opportunity of a lifetime for our community. We’re hoping that people will continue to take an interest, and we’re confident you’ll like what you see.

We are excited to be releasing 16 HD videos of our speakers, professionally edited by London-based company Inspiratica. The organizers wish to thank the Western and London communities for their overwhelming enthusiasm and support.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxUWO, where x = independently organized TED event.

At our TEDxUWO event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
